Helplines

Alberta’s One Line for Sexual Violence

The Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services launched Alberta’s One Line for Sexual Violence. One Line a toll-free talk, text, and chat service that provides emotional support, information, and referral to anyone who has experienced or been impacted by sexual violence.

AHS Mental Health Helpline

The Alberta Health Services Mental Health Help Line is a 24 hour, 7 day a week, 365 days a year, confidential service that provides support, information and referrals to Albertans experiencing mental health concerns.

CMHA Distress Line

The Distress Line is available 24/7 for those in crisis or distress or those supporting someone who is. They provide confidential, judgment-free, short-term crisis intervention, emotional support and resources to people in crisis or distress.

Hope for Wellness Helpline

The Hope For Wellness Helpline is a 24/7 phone and online chat service available to all Indigenous people across Canada to access culturally competent support.

Local Organizations

Alberta Primary Care Networks

There are eight PCNs in the Edmonton area. They work alongside family doctors and teams including nurses, mental health clinicians and other health professionals. PCNs may offer programs and services including free educational workshops online Alberta-wide including topics such as general health, persistent pain, anxiety, diabetes, and weight management.

WIN House

Win House offers crisis intervention, safe housing, and education to individuals (women, non-binary, and children) experiencing partner or family violence. Their website also includes resources on healthy relationships and safety planning.

SACE

SACE is a not-for-profit organization in Edmonton that supports individuals who have experienced sexual abuse or assault, and educates the public about sexual violence.
